In a continuous effort to rescue Ugandan nationals stranded in scam centers across Myanmar, the Uganda High Commission in Kuala Lumpur, accredited to Thailand and Myanmar, is pleased to announce the successful reception of 18 Ugandans today at the Second Thai-Myanmar Friendship Bridge at the Myanmar border.

The Uganda High Commission in Kuala Lumpur proudly hosted the Pearl of Africa Business Forum and Expo 2025, a landmark two-day event that spotlighted Uganda's dynamic investment landscape, sustainable development goals, and expanding bilateral ties with Malaysia and the broader ASEAN region.
This morning 22nd April 2025, H.E. Dr. Betty Oyella Bigombe, High Commissioner of the Republic of Uganda to Malaysia, held a crucial meeting with the Ambassador of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar in Kuala Lumpur to discuss the urgent matter of repatriating over 50 Ugandan nationals currently stranded in Myanmar.
Today Friday, 11th April 2025, H.E. Dr. Betty Oyella Bigombe, Ambassador of the Republic of Uganda to Malaysia, received a courtesy call from Hon. Sylvester Wanjuzi Wasieba, Board Chairman of the National Housing and Construction Company Limited (NHCCL), Uganda. Hon. Wanjuzi was accompanied by two staff members from the company.
Today 10th April 2024, a delegation from AMBANI Consortium Group (M) Sdn. Bhd., led by Dr. Sly, paid a courtesy call on H.E. Dr. Betty Bigombe to provide an update on their confirmed participation in the upcoming Uganda Pearl of Africa Business and Tourism Expo, scheduled to take place on 23rd and 24th April 2025 at the Renaissance Kuala Lumpur Hotel & Convention Centre.
